How far in advance should we inquire?
Most couples inquire 12–18 months before their wedding date, especially for popular summer and fall weekends. However, availability varies, and I occasionally have openings for celebrations planned on a shorter timeline. Reaching out as soon as you have your date and venue gives us the best chance of working together.
What is included in the wedding experience?
Every wedding experience includes more than simply photographing your celebration. You will receive personalized planning guidance, questionnaires to help me understand what matters most to you, timeline assistance, family portrait organization, professional wedding-day coverage, and a carefully curated online gallery of high-resolution, hand-edited images with personal printing rights.
The specific coverage, engagement session, second photographer, and additional features included will depend on the collection you choose.
Will you help us create our timeline?
Absolutely. Thoughtful timing allows your wedding day to feel relaxed while giving us space to create meaningful photographs without taking you away from the celebration.
Before your wedding, I will review your plans, offer recommendations based on lighting and logistics, and create a suggested photography timeline. I will also help organize your family portrait list and coordinate with your planner and other vendors as needed.

My work combines honest storytelling with timeless, polished imagery. I document the natural emotions, relationships, and quiet moments unfolding throughout the day while also offering gentle direction when it is helpful.
Your gallery will include emotional candids, meaningful details, classic family photographs, and beautifully composed portraits that still feel like you. My goal is for your photographs to feel natural and heartfelt today—and just as beautiful decades from now.
Are our wedding images personally edited?
Yes. Your wedding gallery is personally curated and hand-edited by me from beginning to end.
I review every frame myself, select the photographs that most honestly tell the story of your celebration, and individually edit each delivered image in my signature style. I do not use AI to choose or edit wedding galleries. Every final photograph is shaped with care by the same person who was there to witness your day.
When will we receive our wedding gallery?
You can expect a preview of your wedding photographs shortly after your celebration, with your complete gallery delivered within approximately 6 weeks.
Because each gallery is personally reviewed and hand-edited, this process takes time and care. Your exact delivery timeframe will be included in your wedding agreement, and select collections may include priority gallery delivery.
Can we see a complete wedding gallery?
Of course—and I highly recommend it.
A complete gallery allows you to see how I photograph an entire celebration, including getting-ready moments, difficult lighting conditions, family portraits, ceremony details, reception events, and everything in between. When you inquire, I would be happy to share a full gallery from a wedding similar in setting or style to yours.
Is an engagement session included?
An engagement session is included in the Signature and Heirloom wedding collections.
These sessions give us the opportunity to get to know one another before the wedding while helping you become comfortable in front of the camera. You will also receive meaningful photographs from this season of your relationship that can be used for save-the-dates, invitations, your wedding website, or displayed at the reception.
Engagement sessions may also be added to other collections when available.
When is a second photographer recommended?
A second photographer can be especially valuable when your wedding includes a larger guest count, multiple locations, separate getting-ready spaces, or events happening simultaneously.
They can document both partners preparing, capture additional ceremony perspectives, help photograph cocktail hour while family portraits are taking place, and provide broader reception coverage. A second photographer is included in the Heirloom collection and may be added to other collections when available.
During the planning process, I can help you determine whether a second photographer would meaningfully benefit your wedding day.
Do you travel outside Michigan’s Thumb?
Yes! While I am based in Michigan’s Thumb, I photograph weddings throughout Michigan, including Northern Michigan, the Great Lakes shoreline, and destinations beyond the state.
Additional mileage, lodging, or travel expenses may apply depending on the wedding location, and I will provide those details before booking.
