I live in Elkton, MI, but travel all over for weddings. I'm in a sweet spot of the thumb and can be to the lake in 25min. for either sunrise or sunset sessions. I grew up in Reese & Frankenmuth, MI.

With mostly shooting outdoors combined with Michigan's weather, we have to be flexible! I'll start keeping an eye on the weather the week leading up to your session date. If it looks pretty rough for your session date, I'll get the idea of rescheduling on your radar. I don't make a definite rescheduling call until two hours before your session. More times than not, the weather will switch in our favor (not to mention those skies make for really stunning images). If you choose to reschedule for another reason or you prefer not to wait on the weather, your deposit will be forfeited and a new one will be required to reserve your new date.

Assuming we aren't talking about a mini session or something similar where there's a predetermined number of images included, this can vary. On average, we typically end up getting about 75 images per half hour of shooting.

I shoot with a Nikon D750 plus a back up - fun fact, this camera holds two memory cards, so from the second I take the photo your image is backed up to another card. I use primarily prime lenses (pun intended). My 35mm 1.4 is my workhorse, but I always have my 50mm, 85mm and 70-200mm and a few flashes on hand too.

I'm excited to say I provide printing services right through your gallery! This is for two big reasons, it makes your life SO much easier. No waiting for images to upload to another site (your images are high-res so these files are pretty big). But more importantly, it ensures the quality remains intact. You will have access to download your digital files and adding on a USB flash drive is an option too so you'll always have your image files. After printing at tons of labs, I've done some research and have seen first hand how not all labs are created equal. High quality photography is an investment and I want to make sure your experience is perfect from the moment you reach out all the way though hanging your images on the wall. For portrait sessions (children, engagement, family, maternity, seniors, etc.), galleries are typically delivered in 3-4 weeks, weddings are delivered in 4-6 weeks.

Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other and get comfy with shooting before your wedding day. Most times, we'll end up having inside jokes to refer to on the wedding day and it really makes things feel more laid back and genuine, which really translates in your images.
