What to Wear

Have multiple outfits ready, if you chose a 3 outfit package, maybe bring 5 outfits just to have a few options.

  • First and foremost, make sure it reflects you, your style and what makes you feel your best
  • A timeless look using neutral colors like white, black, beige, blush photograph really well
  • Bring a mix of trendy, classic, casual and formal
  • Changing out accessories like a sweater or scarf can easily switch up your look quickly
  • Avoid busy or distracting patterns, neon colors and bold or noticeable logos; these can all take away from the photo.
  • Make sure your clothes aren’t wrinkled.
  • Try on all of your outfits beforehand. Evaluate if you feel comfortable and if it fits right.

Props

Brainstorm what you would like to use in your photos. Think about your high school years, what you’ve enjoyed both while at and outside of school. Some good ideas are instruments, sports equipment/uniforms, books, pets, hobby items, etc.

The Face

Try to stick to a natural look that makes you feel comfortable.

  • If you choose to do your own makeup, go for matte eyeshadow, face primer, contouring and highlighting can come across really nicely when photographed.
  • Avoid getting a sunburn before your session.
